A zoonosis is any disease or infection that is naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to humans. Recent examples in the news (for a wide variety of reasons) include ebola, avian flu, rabies, and anthrax. The Gallery had not changed substantially in twenty years, and the Museum was looking for a simple, low cost way to jump-start the gallery’s rejuvenation. The plan was delivered to the museum in August, 2007, and implementation began immediately. The core recommendations of the plan have been implemented and the first stage of the Gallery renewal was completed in March, 2008.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I wanted to give you a quick update on how our renovated Science Gallery is doing. In a word: fantastic! Attendance is up more than 15% and visitors love both the race track and the stream table.

Thank you for setting us in the right direction."

Javier Schwersensky
Director of Marketing, Sales and Programs
The Manitoba Museum
