Discovery Channel and other media

Alan has been working with Discovery Channel Canada and its nightly science news program Daily Planet since 1996, when he started the weekly segment called Discovery Challenge.   Since 2004, he has hosted Science and the City, in which he engages the public in sets of experiments designed to illustrate a basic scientific principle.  Science and the City shows up in malls, on the street, in parks, wherever people gather.  We’ve taken it to the streets in Toronto, New York, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary, and Halifax.  This summer, look for it to show up in Banff, Lake Louise, and Drumheller!
